Privacy Policy

We built I7 Pixel on a simple principle: your files are your business. Here is exactly what we collect, what we don’t, and why.

Last updated: June 2026 Effective: June 2026
// 01 — Overview

The Short Version

🛡️
Your files never leave your device.

Every tool on I7 Pixel processes data entirely inside your web browser. Nothing is transmitted to our servers. No file you open in any I7 Pixel tool is ever uploaded, stored, or seen by us.

I7 Pixel (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website i7pixel.com and the tools subdomain tools.i7pixel.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our free online tools, visit our website, or interact with our content.

By using any part of I7 Pixel, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree with any part, please stop using the service.

// 02 — Core Technology

Zero File Upload — How Our Tools Work

All I7 Pixel tools are built using browser-native technologies: the HTML5 Canvas API, Web Workers, FileReader API, and JavaScript. When you open a file in one of our tools, the following happens entirely on your device:

  • Your file is loaded into your browser’s memory — never into a server request.
  • Processing (compression, conversion, watermarking, etc.) runs locally on your CPU.
  • The output is generated in-browser and downloaded directly to your device.
  • When you close or navigate away from the tool, all file data is discarded from memory.

This means we technically cannot access your files even if we wanted to — there is no upload mechanism in any of our tools. No image, PDF, document, or file of any kind ever reaches our servers.

Offline processing: Once a tool page is loaded, all processing continues even if you disconnect from the internet. Your data stays on your device regardless of network state.

// 03 — Data Collection

What We Collect (and What We Don’t)

We want to be completely transparent. Here is a breakdown of every data category:

// 04 — Cookies & Local Storage

Cookies and Browser Storage

I7 Pixel uses no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies of any kind. The only browser storage we use:

  • Theme preference — stored in localStorage under the key i7-theme. Contains only the string "dark" or "light". This data never leaves your browser.
  • Tool history — some tools (such as the Aspect Ratio Calculator) store recent calculation history in localStorage for your convenience. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.
  • Analytics session cookie — if we use an analytics provider, a single anonymous session identifier may be set. This contains no personal information and is used only to count unique page visits. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

You can clear all I7 Pixel storage at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for i7pixel.com and tools.i7pixel.com. Clearing this data will only reset your theme preference and any locally stored tool history.

// 05 — User Reviews

Tool Ratings and Reviews

Our tool pages offer an optional ratings and review system. If you choose to submit a review, the following information is stored on our servers:

  • Star rating (1–5) — required.
  • Display name — the name you enter (default: “Anonymous”). Do not use your real name if you prefer anonymity.
  • Use-case description — optional short description of how you used the tool (max 60 characters).
  • Comment — optional text (max 400 characters).
  • Timestamp — the time the review was submitted.

Your IP address is hashed (converted to an irreversible code) and stored temporarily in a server-side temporary directory solely to enforce a rate limit of 3 reviews per hour. The raw IP address is never written to our database. Review data is stored in JSON files on our server and is publicly readable via our reviews API to display on tool pages.

⚠️

Reviews are public. Any text you submit in a review (name, use-case, comment) is stored on our server and displayed publicly on the tool page. Do not include personal information in your review text.

To request removal of a review you submitted, please contact us at team@i7pixel.com with the tool name, approximate submission date, and the display name used. We will process removal requests within 30 days.

// 06 — Analytics

Analytics and Usage Data

We use anonymised analytics to understand which tools are used and how the site performs. Our analytics setup is configured with privacy as the priority:

  • No personal identifiers are collected or stored.
  • IP addresses are anonymised or truncated before any storage.
  • Data is used only to understand aggregate page traffic and improve the service.
  • No data is sold, rented, or shared with advertising networks.
  • Analytics data is not combined with any other dataset to identify individuals.

If we add a specific analytics provider in the future, this section will be updated with its name and a link to its privacy policy. You can always opt out of analytics by enabling your browser’s “Do Not Track” signal or using a content blocker — our tools work identically either way.

// 07 — Third Parties

Third-Party Services

I7 Pixel does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party. The following third-party services may be loaded when you use our site:

  • Google Fonts — used to load our typefaces (Plus Jakarta Sans, Space Grotesk, JetBrains Mono). Google’s servers may log a request when fonts are fetched. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting infrastructure — our pages are served via standard web hosting. Server access logs (IP address, timestamp, URL requested) are retained for up to 30 days for security and uptime monitoring only.

We do not use any advertising networks, affiliate tracking pixels, social media tracking scripts, or retargeting services on any I7 Pixel page.

// 08 — Children

Children’s Privacy

I7 Pixel tools do not require any account or personal information to use. Because no personal data is collected from general tool use, our services are safe to use by anyone. However, the review system requires users to be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction) to submit a review with a name or comment.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted a review with personal information, please contact us at team@i7pixel.com and we will remove it promptly.

// 09 — Your Rights

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold (which is limited to review submissions and server access logs):

  • Right to access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of any personal data we hold (e.g., a review you submitted).
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to object — object to our processing of your data.
  • Right to portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email team@i7pixel.com. Because we hold very minimal data and no account system exists, most requests can be fulfilled quickly. We will respond within 30 days.

Residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and California (CCPA) have additional statutory rights. We are committed to honouring all applicable data protection obligations.
